On Tuesday, November 21, 2023, the Alabama Department of Corrections notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised that escapee, Tom Seabers Pope, has been located and placed into custody.
On Monday, November 20, 2023, the Alabama Department of Corrections requested assistance locating escapee, Tom Seabers Pope. Investigators say Pope was last accounted for at about 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Alex City Detention Facility. Later in the evening, Pope was unaccounted for and found to be an escapee at about 9:18 p.m.
Investigators say, Pope was located Monday November 20, 2023, by the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Pope was safely placed into custody.
Pope was originally serving an 18-month sentence for unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle.

He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, and work boots on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at approximately 3:30 pm.
Investigators say Lay has ties to Mississippi and Alabama and has been known to frequent both states.

The Tallassee Police Department originally contacted Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and requested public assistance on Friday, September 22, 2023, with locating fugitive, Robdarius Ronkevious Smith, 31, of Tuskegee.
Smith was wanted for the September 20, 2023, fatal shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Washington Street in Tallassee, AL.
Investigators thank the media and the public for rapidly spreading public awareness regarding Smith’s whereabouts. Thanks to this tremendous amount of public awareness, Smith was made well aware that he was wanted by law enforcement. Smith turned himself over to law enforcement in Butler County shortly after CrimeStoppers original press release.
Smith’s apprehension marks the 17th fugitive wanted for a murder that was located after being featured by Central Alabama CrimeStoppers this year.

Investigators say Brewster was arrested on Wednesday evening, September 21, 2023, in New Brockton, AL.
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers would like to recognize the outstanding work of law enforcement with the apprehension of Brewster. Covington County Sheriff’s Office, Coffee County Sheriff's Office Geneva County Sheriff's Office along with the Alabama Department of Corrections assisted with the arrest. Investigators say Brewster made previous threats to harm himself and was originally considered a danger to himself and possibly others. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised Kelli Carr, 52, was no longer wanted by law enforcement.
Carr was originally wanted for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 3rd Degree. Court documents indicated that Carr possessed a forged instrument and had knowledge that the said instrument was forged.
CrimeStoppers received the request to provide a public lookout for Carr on September 1, 2023, and the lookout was posted on behalf of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, September 12, 2023.
Investigators say Carr turned herself over to law enforcement shortly after the lookout was aired. Carr is no longer wanted by law enforcement.

The Montgomery Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised they have located fugitive, Centario Deon Williams, 39.
Montgomery Police Investigators requested public assistance from CrimeStoppers to help locate Williams. A lookout and photo were released to the media and the public on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Williams was originally wanted for nine domestic violence-related warrants.
Montgomery investigators were actively seeking the whereabouts of Williams and would like to thank the public and media for helping share the original lookout. Due to the widespread awareness of this fugitive with nine domestic violence-related warrants, the suspect was quickly taken into custody. Williams was aware of the public awareness regarding his whereabouts and quickly turned himself over to law enforcement. Williams was placed into custody and charged with nine outstanding warrants.
Montgomery Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit acted swiftly to ensure Williams was located in a timely and prompt manner. These investigators went above and beyond to ensure a wanted fugitive was taken off the streets.
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers applauds law enforcement, the media, and especially the public for helping create public awareness of this fugitive which ultimately resulted in Williams's apprehension. This is another outstanding example of all of us working together for the greater good of the community. When we come together, we can produce positive results!

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office continues searching for the location of Christopher Hardmon, 36. Hardmon is described as a black male, 5’8 ft. in height, weighing approximately 220 lbs.
Hardmon is wanted for a failure to appear receiving stolen property 2nd degree. Court documents indicate that Hardmon did receive, retain, or dispose of a stolen firearm while knowing it was stolen. Hardmon failed to appear in court for the original charge.
